oh hey, bear
community!

After months of development, we started the initial phase of production on Bears—a documentary series celebrating the bear community—from February 20 - 24, 2025. A heartfelt thanks to everyone who has shared parts of their lives with us on camera, our phenomenally talented production team, and the various colleagues and friends who have extended helping hands.

If you would like to receive project updates via email, provide seed-funding to help cover production costs for this initial phase, or otherwise get involved, scroll down to submit relevant information through the form below.

Executive Producer's Note:

We're currently in development on Bears, a documentary series about the bear community.

Our team, which includes an Emmy-winning casting producer and two-time Emmy-nominated producer, has produced various shows across HBO, Netflix, Hulu, etc. A UTA agent is championing the show in this early phase to help secure financing for the full series. Les K. Wright, bear historian and scholar, is helping to inform our approach. Multiple people on our team are donating time and equipment.

On a personal note, Bears is a love letter. It’s also an encouragement to live joyfully and authentically.

The bear community has been a source of many gifts in my life. Shared stories; understanding; examples of healthy masculinity; genuine support; camaraderie; and feelings of liberation in my body. I've seen the community help friends discover deeper authenticity and tap into pure joy.

In that spirit, I hope this documentary series is a window for some, and a door for others. Big bear hugs.
